Budget Overview 2020-2021

Opening of EACC Delayed to July 20
After meetings with the Elkton Area Community Center Advisory Board and town council,
the preliminary decision was to open the Community Center on July 6.  This date has now
been postponed until at least July 20.  With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases both
nationally and locally the decision was made that opening the center at this time
would pose a substantial health risk to our residents and staff.  We are disappointed
that the community cannot yet get back to the activities, events and relationships at the EACC which they enjoy so much.  However, we must place safety as our top priority.  We will continue to communicate information on the plan for EACC re-opening as well as the latest on other town activities and events which are effected by COVID-19.

The safety and well being of our community members, staff and patrons of our community are our top priority.  We appreciate the tremendous cooperation, understanding and teamwork of our town residents, businesses and staff thus far.

Closings and Cancellations
The Elkton Area Community Center (EACC) is currently closed to residents and visitors until further notice.  All events and meetings scheduled to take place at the EACC are cancelled through the month of June.  We will continue to post closings and cancellations on the town website and social media.

Town Parks: The town of Elkton would like to keep our outdoor facilities open as long as possible, however, in order to minimize the potential spread of COVID-19 we have taken certain steps to protect the public.

Town administrative staff are working at home when feasible and coming in to the office to take care of essential items.  All town departments will be answering emails and returning phone calls throughout the COVID-19 event.
